Reserve a Room

The Pembroke Town Library (“Library”) provides meeting rooms to the public for community-based, cultural, and educational experiences, as well as civic engagement. The Library’s community room is defined as a “limited public forum space”.

The room is not available for solicitation of funds, events or promotion of events for which a fee would be charged. Meetings and programs must be free and open to the public. Meeting Rooms may not be used for the promotion or sale of goods or services, or for purely private social functions. Meetings planned by a company or individual to promote, advertise or lead to the sale of a product or service are not permitted, with the exception of Library sponsored events. No fees, admission or other charges, sales of any kinds, or solicitation of funds will be allowed for any non-Library sponsored function. Exceptions to this will be for paid tutoring services, as space is allowed.

Granting of permission to use the room does not constitute an endorsement of the users or their beliefs by the library staff or Board of Trustees.

Service Fee:

1. Usage is free of charge to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, and the Town of Pembroke. Other not-for-profit and for-profit groups may use the room for $50 per use.
2. The Library does not charge a fee for use of a Meeting Room by Town of Pembroke boards and departments.
3. The service fee should be paid to the Pembroke Town Library and should be sent to the library at least one week before the scheduled date of use.

Meeting Room Policy

The Pembroke Town Library has two meeting rooms available: The Pine Grove Farm Community Room, and the NH Room.

The Pine Grove Farm Community Room:

1. The Pine Grove Farm Community room accommodates up to 52 people.
2. The room is available 7 days per week, between 6am and 11pm exclusively
3. The room is available up to a maximum of 4 hours total each Sunday.
4. The room is not available for use when the Library is closed for a holiday, or an unexpected closure.
5. The room is not available for use overnight.

The NH Room:

1. The NH Room may be used only during hours the Library is open to the public.
2. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, but can be reserved up to 3 months ahead of the date requested.
3. The NH Room accommodates up to 10 people.
